Description¶
A self-evaluation instrument (Appendix B) that maker champions used to rate their district's maker learning program in six categories: Faculty and Staff Support; Administration Support; Resources and Budget; Tools, Materials, and Spaces; Assessment and Documentation; and Curricular Integration. In each category respondents rate their district as "beginning," "exploring," "integrating," or "embedded," where at the embedded level making is "a regular part of the day-to-day learning for all students in the school." The rubric was designed from leadership interview goals with curricular integration as the guiding principle.
Design Implications¶
Context¶

Target Learners¶
- K-12 students in Maker Promise signer schools
Target Learning Goals¶
- Integration of maker learning into regular academic subjects and programming
