Description¶
The provider survey describes who delivered SES and how. "Most providers (70 percent) were for-profit firms," and "on average, 60 percent of providers' instructional staff were regular schoolteachers working in the local district." Most providers (64 percent) delivered services at students' schools, almost all face-to-face (92 percent), most commonly in small groups: "44 percent of provider services were in groups of 2–5 students, 34 percent in one-on-one sessions, and 21 percent in groups of 6–10." A few dominant providers served most students: 9 providers served 50 percent of students, with the rest served by 179 providers.
