Description

The World Health Organization Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS v1.1) is a six-item self-report screening assessment for probable adult ADHD symptoms.

Components

  • Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS v1.1) six-item screening measure for probable adult ADHD: The ASRS v1.1 is a six-item self-report screening instrument measuring the frequency of core ADHD symptoms — concentration problems, hyperactivity, and memory problems — on a 5-point Likert scale from "never" to "all the time". Items were recoded so a symptom was present at ≥3 on the first three questions and ≥4 on the remaining three, and a binary probable-ADHD variable used a threshold of ≥4. In this study it produced a Cronbach alpha of 0.66 and classified 431 (14.5%) participants above cutoff. (Sanderud K. et al. (2016))
