Description

A branded, multi-year college-access and persistence advising program developed and operated by the nonprofit Bottom Line for low-income and first-generation students.

Components

  • Intensive one-on-one advising across the college application, transition, and first years of college: The Bottom Line model pairs each student with an individualized advisor across sequential phases: application advising, financial aid support, college selection guidance, summer transition assistance, and continued campus support. Advisors interacted with students during high school, on average, 13 times during a 15-month period, entailing 10-15 hours of contact time, with support continuing at target colleges for up to six years.
