Description¶
Bridgit is a school-counseling platform used to track students’ pre-matriculation tasks, tailor college-enrollment steps, and support counselor communication.
Components¶
- Bridgit platform for tracking pre-matriculation tasks: Bridgit is "a schoolwide intervention used by school counselors to track students' progress toward college enrollment". Students create profiles identifying their chosen college and admissions status; the system then prioritizes pre-matriculation steps tailored to that college. Counselors monitor prioritized task lists and communicate via text messages directly in the platform, with phone calls for follow-up. It was evaluated in a cluster randomized trial of six intervention and six comparison schools in Tennessee and Missouri (3,281 students). (Summer Counseling (2018))
