  • Classroom Discourse Analyser (CDA) platform for visualising classroom talk: The CDA (Chen et al., 2020) transforms uploaded lesson videos into synchronised transcripts and coloured bubbles sized by turn length, with statistics such as "Total Words" and word-share percentages per speaker, and a ranking function. In this study the research team used CDA to generate visualisations of teachers' lesson recordings that students viewed on iPads alongside clips during forum-based reflection. It had previously been applied in teacher professional learning and, in this study, supported young students' reflection on their own classroom talk.
