Description

A suite of NWEA course-specific computerized adaptive interim mathematics assessments for Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2, aligned to NWEA, Common Core, or state standards and reported on the RIT scale.

Components

  • Course-specific MAP Growth Mathematics tests (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2): A suite of course-specific interim assessments released by NWEA in 2017 (NWEA- and CCSS-aligned) and 2018 (state-aligned versions for Florida, Missouri, Texas, and Virginia). The tests are "item-level computerized adaptive tests (CATs)" scaled with the Rasch model, use randomesque exposure control and content balancing, range from 41 to 43 items, and report scores on the RIT scale shared with regular MAP Growth Mathematics tests, though scores are not interchangeable across domains. (Thum et al. (2019))
