Description

The Environmental Education Learning Experience (EELE) is a field-trip curriculum package whose developers provide activities and curriculum-standards alignments for teachers.

Components

  • Align field-trip activities with state curriculum objectives via a correlation chart: The packet aligns every activity with state standards so teachers can justify the trip instructionally. A correlation chart "shows how each activity in this Environmental Education Learning Experience (EELE) correlates with the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (DPI) objectives in science, mathematics, social studies and English language arts," listing objective numbers by grade with a pointer to the DPI Teacher Handbook for full descriptions. Each activity page also prints its own curriculum objectives by grade. (Bland (1995))
