Description¶
A 120-lesson small-group early literacy, language arts, and English language development curriculum for first-grade English language learners experiencing reading difficulties, developed for delivery in daily sessions by teachers.

- Enhanced Proactive Reading curriculum: 120 daily small-group lessons across five content strands: Enhanced Proactive Reading is a comprehensive, integrated reading, language arts, and English language development curriculum targeted to first-grade English language learners experiencing difficulty with conventional reading instruction. It "provides 120 daily lessons, each composed of 6–10 short activities, to be delivered throughout the school year", delivered to small groups of three to five students in approximately 50-minute sessions. Lessons focus on five content strands: phonemic awareness, letter knowledge, word recognition, connected text fluency, and comprehension strategies.
