Description¶
A 15-item, five-point Likert self-report scale developed by Song Yafeng et al. for measuring higher vocational students' generative-AI usage frequency, habits, and contexts.
Components¶
- GenAI Usage Behavior Scale for higher vocational students: A 15-item, 5-point Likert subjective scale measuring GenAI usage behavior in three dimensions: usage frequency, usage habits, and usage contexts, with dimensional scores computed as item means. It was developed from TAM, UTAUT and AI literacy frameworks, piloted with 329 valid responses, and refined after item C1 was removed for cross-loading; the final EFA retained three factors explaining "64.782% of the total common variance". The article reports an overall Cronbach's α of 0.930, with sub-dimension α values all higher than 0.87. (Song Yafeng et al. (2026))
Claims¶
- GenAI usage behavior dimensions correlate positively with perceived learning outcomes (r = 0.106–0.418), with usage habits showing the strongest correlation [+W]
- Chinese higher vocational students report medium-high GenAI usage (M = 3.75) with usage habits highest, and above-average perceived learning outcomes (M = 4.01) with competency development ranked highest [+W]
