The i-Ready Diagnostic uses "computer-based adaptative testing" to assess students on four math domains and place them at grade levels in each. i-Ready Personalized Instruction uses diagnostic data to assign each student a personalized lesson sequence, "starting from the domain where the student placed the lowest," intended to supplement classroom teachers' instruction.
