Description¶
LUCA is a browser-based office-simulation and assessment environment developed by Sabrina Ludwig and colleagues, providing simulated office tools, authoring of authentic work scenarios, embedded assessments, and activity logging for business education.

- LUCA browser-based office simulation for business learning and assessment: LUCA is a browser-based office simulation developed as a learning and assessment environment in business contexts. It "provides learners with typical office tools such as an email client, a file system, a PDF viewer, a spreadsheet application, a calculator, a notepad, and a reduced enterprise resource planning (ERP) system". An integrated authoring environment allows developing and modifying authentic work scenarios, and questionnaires and traditional test items are implemented within it. In this study, all questionnaires, the instructional video, and the 40-min supplier selection problem-solving scenario ran inside LUCA, with log data (mouse clicks and keystrokes) collected during the scenario.
