Description¶
A semester- or year-long entrepreneurship curriculum developed and delivered by the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE), culminating in student business plans, presentations, and competitions.
Components¶
- Business plan creation and competition as the culminating centerpiece of NFTE entrepreneurship courses: NFTE's classroom programs culminate in each student creating and presenting a business plan, which the report calls "the centerpiece of the program." Students identify a business idea and develop the plan throughout the program, including a marketing strategy aligned with their interests and abilities. At the end, students compete for seed money through competitions that progress from classroom to regional to national levels, practicing public speaking and receiving advice from professional judges. (Nakamoto et al. (2017))
