Description¶
A guide developed by Achieve to help education leaders plan, support, and sustain implementation of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
Components¶
- Sustaining implementation through people, policies, processes, and practices: Domain 4 represents the overall goal of leaders' work: sustainable implementation of the NGSS. Leaders continuously assess whether effective implementation has been achieved and what is needed next, examining their impact on four key areas: People, Policies, Processes, and Practices. The article states "leaders examine their impact on four key areas that influence sustaining the use of the NGSS." Based on their continuous improvement cycle, leaders gauge movement toward sustainable implementation and may enhance their own knowledge and refine their critical actions. (Stiles et al. (2017))
