Description¶
Parent Teacher Home Visits (PTHV) is a family-engagement programme run by the Parent Teacher Home Visits organization in which educators and families build relationships through structured voluntary home visits.
Components¶
- Parent Teacher Home Visits (PTHV) family engagement model: PTHV is a family engagement program co-created by parents and educators using community organizing principles of shared leadership. Teachers conduct 30-40 minute home visits in which they listen, ask questions, and make observations to improve instruction. The model is structured by five non-negotiables, including that "Visits are voluntary and arranged in advance" and "Educators go in pairs and reflect."
