Components¶
- Principals Pursuing Excellence: New Mexico's two-year competency-based turnaround leadership program: Principals Pursuing Excellence (PPE), initiated by the New Mexico Public Education Department in 2012, is a two-year competency-based program focused on developing and supporting turnaround principals, with the first cohort beginning in fall 2013. All participants, including mentors, complete a BEI as an entrance requirement, and mentors must score well on the competency model. Table 3 maps design elements — case studies, coaching training, and data-driven instruction training — to the competencies each develops. (Center on School Turnaround at WestEd (2018))
