Description¶
A seven-standard framework for organizing results-oriented educator professional learning, developed and maintained by Learning Forward with partner organizations.
Components¶
- Standards for Professional Learning as a seven-standard framework for results-oriented educator learning: Learning Forward's Standards for Professional Learning, developed in 2011 with more than 40 other organizations, form the report's organizing framework. The seven standards are "Learning Communities, Leadership, Resources, Learning Designs, Data, Implementation, Outcomes," and the standards "outline the research-based conditions and elements essential for professional learning that lead to changes in educator practice and improvements in student results." The report maps each standard onto micro-credential practice with recommendations for states, districts, and issuers. (Crow et al. (2017))
