- STEM Smart outreach programs and LSAMP at Stony Brook University: STEM Smart is Stony Brook's umbrella outreach program including over 10 federally funded programs providing "mentors, internship and research opportunities, career preparation workshops, and tutoring services for students all along the STEM pipeline from middle school to Ph.D." LSAMP, one component, provides a four-year curriculum for underrepresented minority STEM majors plus a Bridge to the Doctorate with a full NSF fellowship.
