Description

A paper scoring reorganization of the Stanford Revision of the Binet Scale developed by Arthuk S. Otis, retaining the original tests and administration while expressing mental-age performance as summed points.

Components

  • The complete Binet-Simon 1908 test series with record form and supplementary administration notes: The article presents the complete series of Binet-Simon tests, from the 1905 one- and two-year items through the thirteen-year tests, "stating each test as simply and briefly as possible, for the most part in the form of record used for reference in the files of this institution." The record form yields a mental age level and a retardation figure, and supplementary notes give directions, sample sentences, pictures, and scoring criteria for tests that are not self-explanatory. Responses are marked plus, minus, exclamation point, or letters for inattention, timidity, resistance, and ignorance. (Huey (1911))
