Description¶
A multi-section adult mental-testing series developed for approximately comprehensive clinical appraisal through tests of sensation, reproductive memory, apperception, and volitional movement.
Components¶
- Town's four-section adult test series organized around three fundamental mental processes and their volitional expression: For examining adult subjects, the author uses a series of selected tests designed to give an approximately complete mental analysis. It is 'arranged in four sections in accordance with the recognition of three fundamental mental processes—sensation, reproductive memory, and apperception—and their final expression in volitional movements.' Each section is extensively subdivided, each subdivision carrying one or more tests. The design allows tests calling on the same mental processes but requiring less mental content to be substituted when necessary. (Lewis M. Terman et al. (1917))
