Description¶
Based on its findings, the article recommends that educators incorporate AI-powered platforms into language classrooms, concluding that the results "support the notion that AI-mediated language instruction holds promise in revolutionizing language learning". The implementable recipe drawn from the intervention is: pair an AI platform such as Duolingo with instructor-led classes, require regular out-of-class practice, and rely on the platform's real-time, non-judgmental feedback and adaptive pacing to sustain engagement and build self-regulation. Interviewees specifically valued being able to "practice English whenever I had a spare moment".
