Schedule CSR within regular ELA and content-area instruction, spreading sessions across teachers in secondary settings¶
Strategy · All strategies
Evidence · no claims cited
Description¶
CSR is implemented inside existing timetabled lessons rather than as a pull-out program: "50 minutes a day, two to three times a week, during regular English language arts or content area instruction." In secondary settings, multiple teachers implement CSR so students practice reading strategies throughout the week, for example one day in language arts, one day in science, and one day in social studies.
