Description¶
Before implementing portfolios, educators analyze the most meaningful engagement points during the year or unit and select a small number of moments to pause. The guide directs educators to "identify 2-3 points over the course of the year or unit of study where you will pause to intentionally collect and reflect on student artifacts." This keeps the pause a meaningful use of time rather than an afterthought.
