Description¶
The NCS model pairs network learning opportunities with individualized, on-the-ground support. The paper states that "a key element of the NCS model is to provide job-embedded coaching to those leaders—including principals, teacher leaders, and counselors." Coaching addresses the problem that schools are not typically organized to implement change, helping leaders translate research and collaborative learning into their unique school contexts and turn good plans into sustainable practices. NCS coaches also plan Collaborative sessions based on their knowledge of the issues facing principals in their schools.
