Description

The research team partnered with local PBS stations to deliver virtual orientation events addressing the field study finding that parents needed support using the app. Station leaders received study materials and preparation from the research team, then facilitated 30-minute Zoom events providing an orientation to the app's background and features via PowerPoints with screenshots and interactive images, along with support for how parents may engage in conversation and science learning together with their children. Stations distributed Kindle Fire tablets before the event and followed up with families who could not attend using varied approaches.
