Change stakeholder roles and investments so marginalized participants can engage as co-experts in R&D¶

Description¶
The report lists concrete changes to traditional roles and investments that enable partners to engage in Inclusive Innovation: pay for participants' time, buy out practitioner time, provide transportation and/or child care, build skills as needed to engage in R&D, provide recognition of contributions through micro-credentials, and build protocols and facilitation processes that ensure equal voice and participation of marginalized populations. These address typical challenges such as contextual knowledge not being perceived as expertise and lack of experience with R&D processes.
