Align tutoring to core instruction and monitor progress throughout the year via school-based Tutoring Leads¶

Description¶
Education Corps embeds implementation infrastructure around tutoring: school-based Tutoring Leads work with Ed Corps staff to identify eligible students and coordinate scheduling, tutoring is aligned and scheduled to complement core instruction, and progress monitoring and impact evaluation support continue throughout and after the school year. A digital Tutor Session Log tracks "which students are being tutored, by whom, on what skills, when, and with what frequency" to ensure high-quality implementation and continuous improvement.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Partner schools must use a progress monitoring system (e.g., mClass DIBELS Eighth Edition) and data sharing agreements
Constraints¶
- Partners must identify a Tutoring Lead for each school building and are responsible for hiring the tutors
Target Learners¶
- K-3 students receiving below-benchmark early literacy tutoring
Target Learning Goals¶
- Foundational early literacy skills delivered consistently across the school year
