Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i3 Eighth graders showed a significant gesture-over-picture benefit (d = 0.85), which sixth graders did not (d = 0.08), yielding a learning condition × grade interaction. → Brian Mathias 2022

Mixed effects modeling of composite vocabulary scores from 75 German high school children (39 sixth graders, 36 eighth graders) in a 3×3×1×2 mixed design. "gesture enrichment enhanced learning outcomes even more than picture enrichment for the eighth graders (β = 0.95, t = 3.56, p = 0.005, d = 0.85), which was not the case for the sixth graders (β = 0.09, t = 0.35, p = 0.99, d = 0.08)".

"Mixed effects modeling of children's vocabulary test scores revealed an interaction between the children's grade level and the learning condition (χ2 (2, N = 75) = 5.70, p = 0.04, v = 0.19"
