Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q2 i3 The correlation between mental indices from 1918 and 1920 testings of the same 46 children was r = .72, with a rank correlation of .77. → Pintner 1920
q2 i? Correlation between crude scores over the two years was lower: Pearson Product Moment 50 and rank correlation 58. → Pintner 1920 (2)

Reliability study of the mental test: a group of 46 children aged 10 to 14 in 1920 was tested in 1918 and again in 1920, both ratings made under the final standardization. Of the 46, 26 gained (average 6.5 points) and 18 lost (average 5.8 points); the printed r = .72 is a large association.
"The correlation between the mental indices gives a coefficient of r=.72. In other words, the index that a child receives on the mental test is not likely to change much even after the lapse of two years."

The same 46-case retest study found lower correspondence for absolute achievement, attributed by the authors to children of different mental ability progressing at different rates so crude-score increases vary. No standardised effect size beyond the printed coefficients is given.
"The Pearson Product Moment correlation for the crude scores for the 1918 and 1920 testings is 50 and the rank correlation is 58."
