This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i3 In a mixed-factor ANOVA of pre- and post-training sessions, the performance gain in the MT-ITS condition was significantly stronger than in the Standard condition for both shooting accuracy and aiming lead (Training x Condition: accuracy F(1, 26) = 4.99, p < .05). → Vladimir Zotov & Eric Kramkowski 2023

Controlled experiment in the DRDC Virtual Immersive Soldier Simulator with 28 Reserve Canadian Army novices split equally between MT-ITS and Standard conditions. The mixed-factor ANOVA showed the "performance gain in MT-ITS training condition" was significantly stronger for accuracy and lead; Table 4 reports partial η2 = 0.16 for Training x Condition on both measures.
"There was also a significant interaction of training with condition, F(1, 26) = 4.99, p < .05, indicating that the performance gain in MT-ITS training condition—for both shooting accuracy boost and a reduction in aiming lead—was significantly stronger than in the Standard condition."
Discussion¶
Related Claims¶
- Shooting accuracy was inversely related to target distance and speed, with no effect of direction of movement — related
- MT-ITS training was especially effective for distant (250m) moving targets — a narrower finding that bears on this claim
- Visuomotor tracking accuracy improved across sessions similarly for both training groups — related
