Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q2 i? Remaining analysis errors stemmed from students using constructs outside the knowledge base and from difficulty standardising single- versus double-quoted string literals. → Weragama 2014

Investigation of exercises still not analysed correctly by the third version identified two main issues. The first was unhandled constructs; the second was that "strings were stored in the predicates using single quotes" while PHP permits both quote types.

"First, some students were using constructs which were not part of the PHP language that the PHP ITS was designed to teach. Since the knowledge base does not handle these constructs, it is unable to analyze the programs correctly."
