q2 i? The experimental group taught with video-based tasks showed a significant difference between pre-test and post-test listening comprehension scores (sig. .000). → Sarani et al. 2014

Two-group experiment: after a placement test, 40 pre-intermediate EFL learners at universities in Zahedan were assigned randomly to an experimental class (20; ten 60-minute sessions of video-based tasks drawn from Top Notch TV materials) or a control class (20; the same objectives with audio-only material). The groups took different tests (video-based versus audio-based), and the authors analysed each group only with its own paired-samples t-test; no between-group comparison is reported. In the experimental group the pre-to-post difference gave a sig. (2-tailed) of .000, which the authors read as "the valid progression of students in the experimental group"; the control group's did not reach significance (sig. .279).
"the mean obtained for the pre-test is 37.4500, and the computed mean for post-test shows 51.0000"
