Description¶
Makiguchi delineates six transformative indices whereby the results of value-creating education can be evaluated. They demarcate human progress "from self-centered to a social and altruistic mode of living" and include movement from unconscious emotional living to self-mastery, from less to greater value creation, from dependent to independent principle-based judgment, from external influence to autonomy, and from desire-dominated living to self-reflective purposeful living.
