Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q2 i0 Students who valued vocabulary learning more engaged more with the app (r = .14, below the .20 threshold), but engagement did not correlate significantly with satisfaction, effort, or task delay between persons. → Breitwieser 2026

Sample-size-weighted between-person correlations from 197–204 participants reported in the descriptive results and Table 1. Only the value–engagement correlation was significant, "r = .14, p < .05"; engagement's correlations with satisfaction, effort, and task delay were not significant.

"However, at the between-person level, only value was weakly correlated with vocabulary engagement (r = .14, p < .05), suggesting that students who valued vocabulary learning more tended to engage more with the vocabulary app than students who valued learning less."
