Reading the evidence codes
q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q2 i? Total TCT-DP scores increased in accordance with age group (medians 20, 21, 24; p < 0.001). → Piya-amornphan N 2020
q2 i? Sedentary behavior differed across age groups (p = 0.039), with adolescents the most sedentary. → Piya-amornphan N 2020 (2)

Kruskal-Wallis comparison of TCT-DP scores across the three age groups (n = 521, 487, 439) found scores "increased in accordance with the age group", medians 20, 21 and 24, p < 0.001; only medians and ranges are printed, no effect size.
"The total TCT-DP scores which indicated creativity ability in the present study ranged between 9 and 69 points, and the TCT-DP score increased in accordance with the age group (Table1)."

q2 · i? · associational · r2
Kruskal-Wallis comparison of physical activity indicators across age groups (Table 1) found a significant difference only for sedentary behavior (p = 0.039); active play and family/peers time did not differ (p = 0.173 and 0.172).
"Duration patterns of physical activity indicators in each age group were similar. They spent t h em o s ta m o u n to ft i m ei ns e d e n t a r yb e h a v i o rf o l l o w e d by active play followed by the least amount of time being spent with family and peers (Table 1). Adolescents were the most sedentary (Table1)."
Discussion¶
Related Claims¶
- Active play correlates with creativity (TCT-DP score) in adolescents aged 14–17, but not in children aged 6–13 — related
- The three physical activity indicators (active play, family/peers time, sedentary behavior) are all intercorrelated, with weak sedentary-behavior links — related
- Regression analysis showed creativity score was not dependent on active play — related
- School-aged children show reduced physical activity and increased sedentary behavior during the summer break across multiple countries
- Active play is associated with time with family and peers in all age groups (r = 0.485) — related
- Anthropometric variables, body composition and hand grip strength show no correlation with creativity components in this sample — related
- Spending more time sedentary 1 to 2 hours after encoding is associated with better long-term memory retention, implying physical activity in that window is detrimental — related
- A combined model of demographics, aerobic fitness, and the two critical activity windows accounts for over 30% of variance in long-term memory retention — related
