Description

A three-phase iterative process co-designed with a nationwide cohort of districts to articulate learning pathways that integrate Portrait Skill Sets into core subject areas. In the Plan phase, districts develop a Portrait vision with community perspectives and conduct a needs assessment with "survey data and focus groups." In the Build phase, leaders "break down Portrait Skill Sets into demonstrable, observable competencies" and map cross-cutting integration of competencies to adopted curriculum by grade band. In the Implement phase, teachers design learning experiences at integration points, receive professional learning, and pilot with iterative improvement.
