Description

Based on Study 2's finding that revisiting was rushed, the authors "concluded that future professional learning for teachers should emphasize that CoBi's feedback can also be conducted as a pre-action review at the start of the next session rather than rushing the revisiting at the end of class." Teachers also scaffolded engagement with conversational prompts such as "Can you explain that further?" and "How does that connect to our agreement?", and one successful strategy used noticings popups and the sentence cloud to have students debate CoBi's classification accuracy, fostering critical reflection on what good collaboration means.
