Reading the evidence codes

q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.

This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.

q3 i3 Students receiving TBL tend to get higher marks in objective theoretical tests than students receiving traditional LBL (SMD = 2.55, 95% CI [1.56, 3.55], p < 0.00001). → Lang Bingchen 2019

q3 · i3 · quant-synthesis · r2

Meta-analysis of 12 randomized controlled studies involving 1271 participants (631 receiving TBL) across Chinese pharmacy curricula. Because of heterogeneity (I2 = 98%), a random-effects model was used; the pooled estimate favored TBL with "SMD = 2.55, 95% CI [1.56, 3.55], p < 0.00001".

"Compared with the ones receiving traditional LBL pedagogy, students receiving TBL pedagogy were tend to get higher marks in objective theoretical tests (SMD = 2.55, 95% CI [1.56, 3.55], p < 0.00001)."
