Description¶
The observation group received 3DIPT-assisted teaching for 6 months in addition to conventional teaching, with three implementation steps. Platform Construction used "Zhongnan e3D Digital Medical Virtual Software V17.06" to reconstruct organ models from hospital MDCT data. Model Printing used "Ultimaker Cura 4.4.1 open-source slicing software" to generate G-code printed on "Zhongrui Zhichuang SL600 stereolithography equipment" with soft and hard resin composites, dyed for teaching. Interactive Discussion involved 15–20 min WeChat group video conferences with rotating department teachers, 3D printing professionals, and interns.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Hospital MDCT image data for 3D reconstruction
- Stereolithography printing equipment and composite resin materials
- WeChat group video conferencing involving rotating department teachers and 3D printing professionals
Constraints¶
- The 3D reconstruction and slicing files were independently designed and produced by the research team without universal shared files
- Model production was customized to the teaching needs of clinical internship and NMLE examination point characteristics
Target Learners¶
- Clinical medicine interns in final-year clinical internship
Learning Goals¶
- Anatomical imaging application proficiency
- Medical learning interest
- Self-directed and mobile learning
Claims¶
- 3Dipt Higher Simulated Nmle Anatomical Imaging Scores [+M]
- 3DIPT-assisted teaching produces higher transformational learning readiness scores than traditional teaching after 6 months [+W]
- 3DIPT-assisted teaching produces higher mobile learning willingness scores than traditional teaching after 6 months [+W]
- 3DIPT-assisted teaching produces higher social medical curiosity scores than traditional teaching after 6 months [+W]
- 3DIPT-assisted teaching produces higher self-directed anatomy learning scores than traditional teaching after 6 months [+W]
