Description¶
The professor-investigators created a "100+ page guide for academic writing and peer review" given to students to introduce the peer review tool and train them in academic argumentative essay writing. It is entirely in English, describes academic writing at university level and peer review as a tool for developing critical thinking, collaborative work, and essay quality, and includes structure and vocabulary exercises. It outlines four essay types, though only the argumentative essay was actively worked through. Staged worksheets ran from prewriting listing through thesis statement, outline, introduction and conclusion, first and second draft, to final version.
