Description¶
A design pattern emergent from failed starts in the Hong Kong teacher network: students are first acculturated to a collaborative culture before the Knowledge Forum tool is introduced. This reverses the typical Canadian approach where "Knowledge Forum is usually included at the start of knowledge building." The pattern addresses the tendency of new teachers and students to focus on the tool rather than collaborative knowledge construction.
