Description¶
An intervention in which couples in the experimental group received orientation interviews through home visits over one month, with presentations used so the content was more understandable and information leaflets given after each session. The article states the couples in the experimental group "received orientation interviews through home visits" and that "All interviews were completed in one month." Four sessions covered pregnancy psychology, health and lifestyle during pregnancy, birth preparation and breastfeeding, and baby care, postnatal maternal and paternal psychology, and parent-baby communication.

Target Learners¶
- prospective mothers and fathers in the antenatal period
Learning Goals¶
- adapting to the new life with a baby
- preventing postnatal depression
- informing families about antenatal risks and baby care
Claims¶
- Orientation Interviews Significant Family Level Pnd Decrease [+M]
- Mothers Pnd Decrease Not Significant [~M]
- Fathers Pnd Decrease Not Significant [~M]
- The authors interpret the weaker individual-level effects as possibly due to the informative-only format, short duration, and highly educated sample [~W]
