Description

The treatment consisted of daily listening activities using online audiovisual media excerpts, taking approximately 10 minutes each across 13 class periods, embedded in the regular course so that instructional time and content were equivalent to the control group and "the only difference was task type." Activities used pre- and postlistening tasks to process aural input from the excerpts, and the same instructor taught both sections to keep teaching style consistent. Students were unaware of the difference in instruction.
