Description¶
The article's central design choice was incorporating "real, de-identified prescriptions" sourced from the university's educational pharmacies, with a strict de-identification protocol removing all patient and physician identifiers. Students overwhelmingly perceived these authentic materials as effective for engagement (93.5%) and learning (90.3%), reporting they helped "bridge the gap between textbook knowledge and clinical application." The authors present this as enhancing ecological validity.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶

- Faculty review and tiering of prescriptions by difficulty
Constraints¶
- Perceptions only; objective skill gains were not measured in this pilot
Target Learners¶
- undergraduate pharmacy students
