Description¶
The BCOA was a new staff position created to promote engagement of Spanish-language-dominant parents of English learners. BCOAs also hosted outreach events, supported EL parent leadership, coordinated recruitment, and, during COVID-19 closure, made weekly check-in calls, ran a daily tech hotline, and delivered distance-learning packets, Chromebooks, and hotspots to homes.
