Browser-shell e-learning software with learning-style-based IF-Clauses content¶
Design · All designs

Description¶
A client-server, browser-shell software developed to display learning scenes and record "timer feedbacks incoming from mouse, keyboard, and screen activity recorders" into a database for the Bayesian updater. The control group followed a 27-scene learning content, while the experimental group followed a 46-scene content drawn from a pool of 98 learning-styles-based scenes; both contents were pedagogically equivalent. Content presentation followed an adaptive content distribution approach supplying style-matched pre-generated scenes.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Recording of mouse, keyboard and screen activity data per learning scene to feed the Bayesian updater
Constraints¶
- Content limited to the IF-Clauses EFL grammar topic due to the study's time and resource constraints
Target Learners¶
- undergraduate and graduate university students learning English as a foreign language
Learning Goals¶
- EFL grammar learning (IF-Clauses)
