Description

The 3C model, proposed by Lord and Lomicka (2004), is a pragmatic approach for designing virtual teaching/learning sections that "emphasized the interactive and collaborative teaching/learning in the virtual section" and sets up two online working areas — a teacher's office and a classroom — with different activities for teachers and students. The article used the 3C model as the theoretical framework to construct the online self-learning section, implementing the teacher's office as the backstage management module of the Superstar teaching platform and the online-classroom with asynchronous and synchronous modes.
