Description¶
The California Office to Reform Education (CORE) districts, a network of 10 districts that secured an ESEA flexibility waiver in 2013, use a multiple measures accountability system with two domains: Academic Achievement, including growth and achievement on state English Language Arts and math tests, graduation rates, and an 8th grade on-track-to-graduate rate; and Social/Emotional and School Culture and Climate, including "measures of social-emotional skills; suspension/expulsion rates; chronic absenteeism; culture/climate surveys from students, staff, and parents; and English learner redesignation rates." The indicators are organized into a dashboard on a school report card used to evaluate progress and plan improvements.

- English learners
- students at risk of disengaging from school
Learning Goals¶
- academic achievement and growth
- social-emotional skills
- positive school climate
