Description¶
The reviewed book describes early institutional uses of group intelligence tests in England. The reviewer notes that little has so far been done in England, but that the use of intelligence tests by two local education committees to select scholarship children is important and significant, and he expects the extent of the work to increase. He also reports that the book gives samples of several group tests used in England, many descended from American group tests. As the reviewer writes, "the use made of intelligence tests by the Bradford and Northumberland Education Committees for the selection of scholarship children is important and significant."
