Description

In Monmouth University's Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management courses, "the students all participate in the start -up of an entrepreneurial venture, encompassing all phases of the operation including legal, finance, marketing, and management." Students work in teams with assigned tasks and timelines to launch a company within the semester using real money from a university grant, with the option to buy back the company for $1.00 afterward. Professor Buzza acts as CEO, guiding and aiding students throughout, and students give a formal end-of-semester presentation on the company and their process. In fall 2011 the class created and presented a GPS Tracking company.
